BIOGRAPHY
Yannick et les Frères la Côte are actually a pirate crew led by Yannick, the most terrible of all ...!
They tell you the true story of those outlaws seas rife in the Caribbean in the golden age of Piracy (1680 - 1720). Colorful characters and perfectly authentic are portrayed through songs sung in French, on music mixing Celtic and hard rock ritournelles. Forget the clichés about Piracy and Celtic music. Yannick et les Frères la Côte want to be unique and timeless.

THE BAND
Instrument: guitar and vocals.
Expérience : Founding member of the french rock bands Antigel (guitar) from 1978 to 1980, No Man's Land (drums) from 1981 to 1989, Kôlô (drums) from 1990 to 1994 and Marcel Champion Junior (drums) from 1994 to 2002. In 2003, Yannick appeared under his name as lead singer with Roger Wachenheim (keyboards) and other bass and drummer musicians who followed one another for a decade. Two albums have been released ("Rebel" in 2006 and "Vagues à l'âme" in 2009). Since 2015, Yannick Bernard has become Yannick et les Frères la Côte. Today, Yannick is also drummer of No Man's Land ( www.nomansland.fr ) again reformed since 2015. Yannick writes and composes most of the repertoire.
Instrument: keys and choirs.
Expérience : After studying music theory and learning accordion, Roger played keyboards in various pop bands during the year 1969, including the group Galaxie with Didier Hoffmann on drums. Then he played for 20 years in various ball orchestras including Stratos, Cariblue, etc. He was an accordionist in the folkloric group Argentoratum until 2010. He is part of the group Accordion of Illkirch. He has been Yannick Bernard's keyboard partner since 2003 and a member of Yannick et les Fères la Côte.
Instrument: drums.
Expérience : Laurent started drums at the age of 15 at the Agostini school in Strasbourg with Jean-Luc Touchard.
His first job as a drummer was with "Bombers", a hard rock band set up with somes friends. Then he joined a group of Vietnamese musicians who hosted balls and other weddings.
Today, he accompanies the choir "Obernai chante", the pop blues group "Esther Pepper" and sometimes the group "Rock Addict" replacing the titular drummer. Since 2020, Laurent is the band's drummer, following the departure of Jean-Marc Gogel.
Instrument: bass guitar and choirs.
Expérience : Self-taught, Bernard started playing guitar at the age of 16 with the method of Marcel Dadi. Beef and creation of groups between friends, regimental orchestra and other musical experiences have marked 25 years of musical passion. In 2006, he took bass lessons at the Geispolsheim music school. His debut as a bassist took place with the rock group Zik-Zak. Some great dates followed, including la Nuit du Jazz festival of Geispolsheim in 2012. It was at the end of 2015 that Bernard learned of a bottle thrown into the Ill river by the captain of the nastiest pirates in Alsace, who was looking for a bassist. Celtic refrains, rock'n roll and good humor immediately won over the friendly Bernard. The rest of the story is being written...
